This is the same rotisserie kit that is supplied with Solaire Grills that have the rear infrared rotisserie burner. This kit is an accessory for Solaire 42 and 56-inch grills without the rear infrared burner. Rather, you use the main underfired burners to sear the food on the rotisserie rod on high, then when the juices flow too much (after about ten to fifteen minutes), you turn down the heat, place the accessory BBQ Tray (item SOL-IRBT-27, SOL-IRBT-27XL or SOL-IRBT-BQ, depending on grill size) in place of the grilling grids, fill with water or other favorite liquid (to steam up into the food, as well as to keep the tray from warping) and close the lid to create an oven. The food is done when the internal temperature has reached USDA guidelines. This rotisserie kit includes stainless steel spit rod with stay-cool phenolic handle, pair of 4-inch forks, counter-balance weight, mounting bracket and heavy duty motor with a 3-foot long power cord for use with 110 volt.
