The only ingredient this recipe requires that you don’t already have lying around is young green jackfruit canned in water or a salt brine. You can find it at any Asian market or online. This is important as it will give this dish the proper flavor and consistency of pulled pork.
Start by rinsing and draining the canned jackfruit, then tossing it in your seasonings. Next, place the jackfruit in a pan and add the sauce, then bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes. This will help the jackfruit absorb the sauce and cook down to achieve that shredded, pulled pork texture.
