It may be a small town in the middle of nowhere, but this little eatery in Oneonta is a barbecue mecca. The counter-serve shop turns out a faithful version of Central Texas-style ’cue, with fatty and lean brisket served by the pound and homemade hot links, too.
Even in far-flung North Dakota, a few determined barbecue enthusiasts have made it their mission to introduce their state to true, Texas-style cooking. Monty’s BBQ in Minot operates out of a vintage trailer, but it can deliver some of the most memorable pork spare ribs you’ll ever have.
