How to Make Barbeque Jelly Meatballs

Sweet and tangy BBQ sauce smothers these tender meatballs! They’re easy to prepare and make a crowd-pleasing appetizer.

These easy crock pot appetizers are perfect for parties, family meals and get-togethers! They’re super fast to prep and only require 3 ingredients – grape jelly, barbecue sauce and meatballs.

How To Make These Meatballs

The key to making these barbeque jelly meatballs is letting the meatballs cook in the sauce. The meatballs soak up the delicious bbq sauce and sweet jelly mixture in the crock pot, turning them into tender, juicy bites that are sure to impress your guests!

Add Jelly and BBQ Sauce to Slow Cooker

In a large slow cooker, combine the jelly and barbecue sauce. Stir to mix well, then add the meatballs and stir to coat.

Cover and cook on high heat for 3.5 hours, stirring occasionally.

Tip: To thicken the sauce, you can give it a bit of time in the slow cooker before adding the meatballs. Or, you can whisk together 1 Tbsp cornstarch with a Tbsp of water and slowly pour it into the sauce during the last 15-20 minutes of cooking to thicken it even more!

Make Ahead and Reheat

These grape jelly meatballs are best served right out of the crock pot, but can also be eaten at room temperature for a quicker and easier meal. You can reheat them in the microwave, oven or stovetop. If you want to save them for later, store the cooked meatballs in an airtight container and refrigerate.
